Ryanair policy is simple, you pay for a seat everything  else is extra, why do peoples find that hard to comprehend.

Yes Ryanair are that transparent, but I will never ever give them my cash. Ever. Mr Really O'Leary being one of many much more significant reasons.

I flew Ryanair for the first time from Bournemouth to Lanzagrotte in May, with a bit of trepidation given their reputation!  ::)

It was fine, absolutely fine.  :y  As Biggriff pointed out you pay for a seat.  The parachute is extra!  ;)  ;D

They join a big long list for Luddites by trying to hold back progress and efficiency. progress and efficiency always wins as people like lower prices and better services.

What people forget is that senior union officials get to keep their jobs, while those they represent lose theirs. With driver less cars now on the horizon, which is a much more difficult problem to solve than driver less trains. So why can't we have these with cheaper fares, without strikes every other week and services that start earlier and run later where they are cheaper to run?

The next big battle in a few years will be driver less commercial vehicles which will drive down the cost of many services where 90%+ of our goods are transported by road. :y :y :y

As a work force generally, the sooner we accept we are in direct competition with cheaper economies and markets the better. Or better ideas in this case.

Its often a question of less income or no income at all is some cases ESP in manufacturing being an obvious one. Although this is a slightly different case, the mentality is the same.

Development. Its a funny thing. Ya gota go with it. :)

Which is why almost everything I own is considerably cheaper, relatively, than it was 30 years ago............ ;) ;)

An example, the Henry Vacuum cleaner, in the early 80's a metal Henry was £99.99 a plastic version was £79.99, a 'Henry' is still available in this price range today...... :y
