It is impressive the speeds they manage.  I can only hope to go that fast downhill, with a tailwind.....

When I lived in Paris I used to watch in awe as they whizzed up and down the Champs Elysées faster than most cars normally would, and that's on cobbles :o

The height of the triathlon season is coming up and after finishing UK 70.3 I have another crack at IM Wales in a few weeks so expect to see me out and about in my lycra, slowing you all down (for a few measly seconds ::))

I am not worried, even with your eyes open you have trouble keeping the Caterham out of the ditch  :P

I can't believe the effort they go to on each stage. Mark the route out, signs up all over, and the small town of tents and buses and make shift buildings that pops up at the finish is just ridiculous. Like you say, it only needs to be in place for 30 seconds and its all over. :o
