the last time I raced with audi , there was only a simple tdi sign.. I couldnt leave it behind even at 240


but then on the exit of a tunnel his turbo lag was useful


and rs4 is a whole different story

I could put up with an RS6 if somebody gives me one.

There was a 2008 V10 for sale which had been taken to those nice people at DMS. The price was £26,000 and they claimed it had 690 BHP.

A mate of mine had a twin turbo 4.2 v8 RS6 Avante,it were'nt slow

A 'mere' 450 BHP.

A well sorted 2.2 Omega would waste it in a straight line....

If the Audi was in a straight line of stationary traffic the 2.2 might have a half chance(if the crank sensor doesn't give in first)

We had a customer come in to our shop a few months Back with a rs6. Got talking to him about it as you do. It was a lovely motor until he told me the price to replace the carbon ceramic brakes all round....... £9000 not sure wether to believe him or not

Not necessary on a road car, I think.

I followed an A6 this afternoon for about 15 miles through the twisty country A roads, which he obviuosly wasn't used to or he was pissed! 

He was going between 25 and 40 tops on the straights, braked for every corner, and nearly went in the hedge when a bus came the other way!!    Unfortunately every time I had a chance to get by, there was oncoming, so I had to suffer! 

I certainly kept my distance though! What a muppet!!

This is the reason why the brakes on the Mercedes McLaren SLR continually 'pulse' lightly on and off to keep the brakes warm and reduce the chance of an expensive hedge interface
