VERY URGENT QUESTION
« on: 12 July 2014, 17:46:39 »

hello hands are oily
I am trying to clean breathers and IACV etc because of stalling but I keep finding oil inside the large breather tube and air trunking and I have found a massive deposit of oil underneath the butterfly valve, is this normal?
It looks like breathers are working as the small pipe has suction.

Thanks

Oily deposits are normal in all the breather hoses and throttle body. Excess deposits are due to lack of breather cleaning maintenance

Not Ok, but as said, down to restrictive breather hoses, throttle body will always collect oil when breathers are blocked

Don`t forget to clean the crankcase breather tube and ensure gasket is fitted right way

One last thing, now the small pipe has suction, is everything okay now? Do I have to remove the throttle thing as it seems like a very difficult task.

Thanks

Is the tube going down to the sump blocked? I have had two of those blocked solid with oil/grease. Had to remove from the car and force a wire, than a hose through them, to clear them. I have read long gaps between oil changes, or overfilling of sump, can cause blockage.
