You can take the slack up on the steering box on the Disco 1

On the top of the steering box there is a locknut and a bolt,loosen the locknut and the bolt can be screwed  in to take play out of the box,you must be very careful though that you don't over do it as the steering will go tight on lock,tbh if there is enough slack that you think it needs adjusting then the box is getting knackered
