I don't know you, but it is. Seek some help from your friends and family. Share the pain.

Yes. It is.
Accepting that it may not seem like there is at the moment, but believing it will get better from listening to people who have felt the same and got through it is what you have to do.
Unfortunately things will seem like there's no point for a while, but one day you'll realise that it hasn't seemed as bad that day, or it might only be for a period of a few hours, and that will help, and give you a bit of hope-eventually you'll be able to look back and realise that you can now see reasons for living and life is better than it currently feels.

Till then you just have to take faith in people telling you it will get better.

And remember that you are an important person in other peoples lives too, I'm sure you contribute to their happiness and 'reasons for living' and that you can give that to other people in varying ways is enough of a reason to keep living on it's own imho.

Agreed.  :y

I'll try to be diplomatic here and my words are well intentioned.

Your wife's destiny was out of her hands but yours is well and truly in yours. I bet your wife would have given anything for a few more years, she would have been horrified by you even thinking such a thing.

An ex work colleague killed himself a couple of years back. If he could see the pain on his family's faces when they talk about him I'm sure he wouldn't have done it. He inflicted a worse pain on them than he was feeling, as they continually blame themselves for not spotting the signs.

I'm sure you would hate to be guilty of doing the same.  :y

My sister passed away 4 years ago only 50 and it ripped us apart but although its been hard especially for parents we always have fond memories of when she was around  :) Its an old saying but time is a great healer , take up that offer to Brighton , it sounds just the thing you need  :y

Ah! stress, wonderful invention for making things seem a lot worse than they need to be. I too am not in the best of health Ralf, but the days I can avoid stress, I suddenly realise I don't feel quite as bad... Brighton sounds O.K. but put a metal plate down the back of your strides...  ;)
