I am glad someone else has this.

We went again on Thursday. Three hour round road trip. To have a look at the cabinet on display to see why I cannot assemble ours. Turns out that the parts they listed and supplied in the kitchen dept included a drawer front and not a door. So had to buy a door. "Just bring the cabinet front back that we supplied you in error and we will give you a refund- it was our mistake". I wonder how many people after spending five hours in IKEA open their packages before going home to make sure they got the right stuff.

You can't even find any in shop short cuts to get out quick. I have only had one worse experience and that was on a blazing hot day in Leeds castle maze and the fellow who directs you to the short cut (when you have had enough) from his ladder had gone for lunch or something.

Does your IKEA offer a £20 service where a person assists you in your purchases?

I stay in the car now, tends to bring out some latent anger issues if I enter and i've come close to cracking someone a couple of times if they dither about in my way  :o ;D

......... and you get back to your car & realise that there's no way you're going to get it all in there and take your passengers too!  ??? I'd to make two trips last time I went. I left SWMBO and my son's girlfriend there, took the stuff back home & then went back for them ........ I suppose having to go back for my son's girlfriend was a bit of insurance policy for SWMBO  ::) ::)
