Wow, what a jack!
« on: 08 August 2014, 14:26:33 »

Looking for some time for a proper jack to replace my old one. It's max load is 2 tonne but being one of the smaller types I've never felt that comfy using it. it squirms around a lot and I just don't trust it although to be fair to it it's never done anything wrong.

Anyways I took a punt on this after reading about it in lots of OOF threads....

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ctj3000g-3-tonne-professional-garage-j

This guy is MAHOOSIVE! It's a proper jack that you'd see in a garage whereas in the pics it doesn't look that big. It lifts effortlessly. its handle is like 5ft!!!! What a difference from the one I used to have that has like the 12" handle. Feel so safe with it.

Defo a recommendation from the bear!

(ps I did consider going to Costco as suggested by a loada folk also. but sadly my cards expired :( howeverglad I didn't!  :y

You should come down and see the ones we use to jack up the 6T trucks down at the military hangars.

I used 3 to manoeuvre a boat and remove a keel and it lift her like it was paper :o

Are they bigger in size than my one? Are we talking basically like a pump truck type thing?  :o

I got my Clarke one for Xmas many years back and its still serving me well. If my only complaint is that the rubber grip came off the handle, I cant be going far wrong.

Those jacks remind of Darth's Clarke jack at Newent the other year ....... it had a hair trigger for the release  ??? ........ either on or off & very little in between.

I have the 2 ton low pro jack from machine mart, sits nicely under my lowered mv6.

Definately one of the best purchases I've made in a long while.
