Newent 2014, this weekend
« on: 03 September 2014, 21:18:26 »

We can get in from approx. 1pm, which is when I'll be arriving. We are in the usual field (where we normally congregate), which is the family field.

For those that have never been, on the sharp bend where you pull off the road, go up a little lane about 20yrs, turn left, drive up a drive with hedges either side between the adult field and the family field, turn right, past the toilet blocks etc, and just follow the track all the way around. When it opens into a larger field, come and find me, I'm the handsome, young looking Adonis with a shitbox silver Zafira putting up a big green tent ;D. If you are arriving later, just look for a load of Omegas ;D

I suggest we set up the shelters/BBQ etc where they were last year, to minimise disruption to other guests.

I should add that Mrs Darth Loo-knee is sorting the quiz this year, so I can actually join in for once :D

I don't recall it taking that long to get up the drive.  ;)

I was going to pop in as a day visitor this year but you moved the dates to clash with my Keswick trip.  ::)

Hope you all have a good one.  :y

Not going to over as a day tripper this year as I have to go to Scotland for a funeral. Let's hope I can get over next year.

Doubt we'll be there much before 5.30/6.00 as Mrs E is at work til 3.30, although we'll try to be earlier in case anyone wants the barbie Friday night. Is everyone in the same field this year or will some be stranded in the adult only bit ?

I've seen no planned work (and AFAIK I don't need any :) ) so are we all leaving tools behind ??

:)

All in same field except NF, who is in adult field, as he is staying longer.

Obviously I've packed the cheese and biscuits, and of course a bottle of port. Us Omega owners are very civilised, you know.

MDTM - do you have a cheese knife, else we'll be hacking the cheese with a swiss army knife ;D
