Just been for ecg  :'( pains in chest and arm , went doctors friday an he gave me painkillers that didnt work  :( No sleep for 2 nights and pains getting worse so went down to emergency this morning , feels like someone stabbing me in chest and back .. turns out could be torn chest muscle  ??? Had to check it out though .. doubled up on pain killers and zombied out now  ::) the joys of nudging 50  ::)

Had the same symptoms myself a few years back, that to turned out to be torn chest muscles. Came about after trying to get seized wheel studs of a Merc. Scary stuff when it happens hope your well soon.  :y

Thing is i cant remember actually doing it  :-\ I dont lift heavy things and only took a headlight out the car but i was already sore before that  :( It is scary having pressure pains on your chest , thats why i got it checked out . Luckily the mig earnt its keep getting me to A&E with auto box and driving one hand  :)

Just be grateful it's torn muscles and not worse. :y :y :y Try my patented painkiller, Cocodamol and copious amounts of Edradour, or any booze will do. ::) ::) ;) :D :y

A few years ago I had a trip in an ice cream van to A&E (I was barely conscious so couldn't object ;D), and was wired up to all the heart monitors in said ice cream van.  The most painful bit was pulling off those sticky monitor bits, bejesus that smarted.

Good to hear things aren't as bad as could have been.At least you did right thing in going to hospital,not sure at wisdom of driving yourself there though.Mind you I'd probably have done the same.

I agree ..  :)  but in our ages, arteries start to contract  and be blocked easily which effects all system..  most of the time misdiagnosing is more easy than the correct one when one problem clouds another deeper one.. I do believe a diagnosis must double guarantee its correctness by multiple tests..
