Cam sensor question
« on: 19 September 2014, 09:13:02 »

I've just change my cam sensor and took it for first drive this morning. The acceleration feels more lively so to speak. Would the cam sensor have anything to do with acceleration?

Or is my car being more lively before it dies ;D

Cam sensors cause all sorts of problems and mine was affecting the gearbox too so I wouldn't be surprised if it feels more lively, or it could be a final swansong before it dies  ;D

Not sure if mine is the same sensor or not but I sometimes get the email lit up and it is like a bag of pooh to drive, sluggish and when I come off the gas it gives a backfire? Is this a symptom of cam sensor break down?  :-\

Thanks for the link. :) I don't have trouble firing it up, but, the lead from the sensor doesn't look very healthy at all and mayhave been bodged after being trapped and cut.  :-\

Lol.. Serves me right for not checking before sending. Off to find a paperclip and then find the plug. Best take pen too, I feel a host of faults coming up..
