In the middle of replacing the oil cooler.
Dumped the oil
Removed the cap and old paper filter

Question, how the hell does the round metal paper filter housing come off so I can get to the oil cooler pipes ?
I've read the guide, had a play around with a 27mm socket but can I hell as see how it comes off 

I manipulated the pipes last time and got away with it.
I know I won't get away with it again

Some have a bolt, some have an allen key.  Probably need to nick the missus' make up mirror to visually see in.

Had a mirror in there TB and broke the f**ker 

This will sound daft but as you look into the housing, were is this allen key hole in relation to a clock face (12 o'clock at the top) because I can't see a thing

I used a 12mm sump plug duck taped to a 21mm (I think ) socket and a short extension worked a dream did,nt take the oil cooler pipes totaly out  just left enough thread in to easily move the pipes out of the way don,t forget to renew the O ring that sits in a groove between block & housing.
