As my mouldings on my superior pre facelift are starting to lift i was thinking about swapping to facelift ones ones. But then the front bumper would be out of place, so what is the normal way forward in that regard. An irmscher bumper is to rare/expensive and the facelift ones are just wrong IMO.
So what would the general advise be please?

Given that the rear bumper is equally boltoffandonable, I would do both ends and the mirrors as well

Was thinking about removing the chrome from the bumper but want sure how it would look as it would leave a recess. I suppose I could fill the gap the chrome has left before painting it.

Is the rear bumper a straight swap, not sure I would swap it but thought I'd ask as the facelift one covers a lot more of the rest quarter on an estate.

Ive not got one of it recently done , the trim on mine took a bashing so just removed it from the back bumper for a start . If you have a picture of your car , just edit and paste over in black to give an idea of what it looks like

Ive not got one of it recently done , the trim on mine took a bashing so just removed it from the back bumper for a start . If you have a picture of your car , just edit and paste over in black to give an idea of what it looks like 

Might try that, not sure the missus will be happy with me sticking black tape on the computer screen though

Quarter trim is the same, rear bumper is a snug fit, but fits nicely. You also need the facelift crashbar... to put this procedure into context, my facelift estate has a prefacelift rear wing/quarter panel fitted and you can barely tell

Cheers Al, not sure about the rear bumper as I am happy with mine, looks good as my car is black anyway. Nice to know there is an option though. Well see about getting some facelift mouldings on first then see how the front bumper looks with the chrome removed.

Does look a lot cleaner but as mine is black I think I will just leave my bumpers on and just remove the silver trim if I get some side mouldings.

So the FL bumpers are a bolt-on to PFL? Damn that looks nice
