I bought a Rolex once from a reputable jeweller in Manila.  It was $10 and lasted all of 18 months! :y

You know the old saying, Sir Tig?

There is only one thing worse than a fake Rolex...........a real one. ;) ;D

I could have bought a real one, but decided that paying $9990 extra for a second hand that ' sweeps ' rather than ' ticks ' wasn't value for money!  ;)

For the first time in forty years I purchased a Sekonda watch. Simple elegant design with a brown leather strap. Cost £30.

My last Sekonda was manufactured  in the old USSR, and despite having 17 jewels (whatever that means) was total crap. :(

I inhereted a nice Hong Kong Rolex from an Uncle... apparently it was a couple of hundred dollars when he bought it, so clearly not the usual chinese rubbish ;D

Works a treat, if I remember to change the battery that is ::) but possibly a bit brash for work :-\ It feels bloody heavy too, but that's probably due to my not having worn a watch for the thick end of 18 years ::)

I believe Mistress Lizzie is looking for an elegant timepiece to adorn her slender wrist. :)

She is partial to a Rolex.

Under-steer is when the front of the car hits the wall, and over-steer is when the rear of the car hits the wall.
Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.

I'm no experts in such matters, as you well know, but I'd wager a tenner than I need one significantly sooner than xmas ;D
