Just dug out the cam belt history when last changed and mileage , 25k ago BUT 4 years ago so should i change it or wait till i get to 30=40k  :-\

Vauxhall used to say every 8 years or 80,000 miles. ::) ::) ::) ::) ;)

It's a case of 'knowledge' really.  Do you know how that car has been driven the last 4 years?

If so, and it's been gentle, and you've serviced it religiously, and you lift the bonnet once a week to check for noises you won't find in the cabin, then.... I'd be inclined to say if all is well, happy days.

The belt is definitely good for 80k, if not 100k+

It's the tensioners which fail. 

Question is, do they all become noisy before failure?   :-\

Car has full service history Ive only had the car 15 months , last owner was a sensible driver and looked after the car very well
Hope it will be ok for a few more month , say spring time

Mine has previously been done on mileage, 270k in 9 years, so every 80k, and last changed in 2013... next change will be done on time, so summer 2017, and probably at around 290-300k :-\

I would of though between 40-50k would be ok if the history of the car is known  :-\ Obviously change it first thing if history not known especially no known cam belt and roller change  :)
