Lit the blue-tough paper & stood well back!!!!
« on: 07 December 2014, 15:24:34 »

Stopped a young (18) lad last night for speeding @ 02:00, his dads car, not got permission to drive it, provisional only, no insurance & ...................................strong smell of alcohol   >:( >:( >:(

Anyhow, lad gets locked up for drink driving (amongst other things) , took him to custard where he was again over. Rings daddy to ask 'Do you know where your car is???' 'No' was the reply.  ??? ??? ???

To cut a long story short I gave the lad a lift home & explained what would happen next to his parents, who were quite respectable, lad was in college, doing well & 'seemed' to be an example young lad???? Parents WERE going to buy him a car for Xmas  :o and had been looking at one for him yesterday  ::) .............Not anymore!!!!

His dad went BALLISTIC!!!!   at which point I made a swift exit stage left  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

What a silly, stupid, idiotic thing to do!!! and all to impress a couple of young girls who he had picked up from a party  ::) ::) ::)

At least his dad went ballistic at him,at the end of the day, youve done your job,and got his son off the road and without killing anybody,i hope the son gets everything thrown at him in court and teaches him a valuable lesson in life  :y

At least he is still alive to learn the lesson. I can certainly remember doing idiotic things as a youth, fortunately with no ill effects, bearing in mind the lack of drink driving laws when I learnt to drive. :-[

I am afraid we all do silly things when we are young  ::) I must admit I did somethings but then there wasn't the traffic around then  :-X anyways at least he didn't crash it or hit anybody so he must count himself lucky, although I suspect he got a good talking to by his father and will have a record for at least 10 years.  I just wish they would change the law and say no drinking at all then at least we all have no excuse because at the moment it all depends on if you have eaten and some people don't feel the effects as much as others, I say no drink and free soft drinks for drivers as in Australia and other countries.  :y

Jeffrey Dahmer was a nice decent person who did well too-----and look what he did!!!! so reckon you did the right thing--what if some poor innocent person got hit by him driving?? And maybe he'll learn an important lesson from his stupidity  :y :y

Took my mum's car out on more than a few occasions before I passed my test (and without her knowledge) when I was younger so I can see that bit, however I was never under the influence of anything as that's simply asking for a trip to the hospital or the morgue.

The one thing to be thankful for really is that his alcohol intake wasn't responsible for causing someone any loss/harm as a result of him being impaired, hopefully he'll learn what problems his actions could have caused and count himself lucky that he's got off fairly lightly while learning that lesson.
