Yes, it's not like coming off the power to change gear is an option at that level!

It's not like wasting a few horsepower is really an issue either.

Some say a full throttle run used to make his ears bleed.

I've just looked it up 3.58 at 386 MPH.......way back in 1984.

Yes, it's not like coming off the power to change gear is an option at that level!

There is a video of him coming off the power somewhere.. he decided that 120' on the back wheels was quite enough and bailed out of the throttle for 2 seconds, and still managed an 11 second run
