2.2 DTI injection pump VP44
« on: 06 January 2015, 16:46:23 »

Hi!  I have bit of a problem, i´v been "limping" around with my omega for a few days now. The lil´yellow light is on and i´m the slowest man on the road. Diagnostic device gave me a faultcode  : P1631-00A. About P1631 Autodata says this: Fuel injection pump control module defective, wiring open circuit/ short to positive.  What could the 00A part of the code mean ? If anyone has a word of advice, dont hold yourself back.  :)

The code means that the wires from senzor located inside the pump is in short his wires from heat. the sensor is responsible with quantity fuel to be equal with pedal acceleration.

Thats a good info man , thanks! Could it be the transistor in the pumps ECU thats causing this? The one, that gets changed here?    https://www.drive2.ru/l/2817856/

No joy so far, the car is still in limp mode. Starts good, stops good.
Faultcodes:

P1590-008 Engine speed signal too high (brand new Bosch crank sensor)
P0400-005 Exhaust gas recirculation flow malfunction
P1631-00a Injection pump error 1

Sometimes when i start the engine the fault dissapears and the car drives good, but only until i stop the engine and put the ignition on again, then the fault always reappears. :(
