Kids brought me a Luminaire 530 for Christmas....I am on 02. Went online to switch sims and balance, contacts, etc...but it did not swap contacts as they were stored on a HD or Card. Does that make sense.
Son in law did it fast manually. I assume they were stored in a folder and it had to be transferred via the PC. :y
Bit of info if you get a problem :y

A Lot of older phones have the old, big sims. New phones have the awkward, fiddly smaller ones.

Create a Gmail account, sync your current contacts on the old phone, then import them on the new phone using the same Gmail account.
If you prefer a software solution due to Google knowing too much already, use Super Backup

New, mini sim inserted into old phone with use of a cage... contacts onto small sim... small sim out of cage and into new phone... transfer sim contents to new phone... job jobbed :y

That's fine if your contacts consist of just a name (with limited characters) and number, but that is all a SIM will hold.
Extra info (such as address, e-mail addy, etc) will only be stored in the handset (or Google cloud) itself.

Thanks for the help.

Gmail seems the way to go, and yes there's more than just names and numbers. :y
