outside temp displays 'f'
« on: 25 January 2015, 18:48:48 »

Hi guys, I've just upgraded from a CD to a cdx, loving the car so far, only problem I have is where the outside temp should be displayed I'm just seeing the letter 'f'. My new temp sensor arrived today and immediately i fit it to the car. I thought this would be the end of it and all would be fine. However I jumped in the car and sure enough I'm still getting the 'f' is there something I need to re-set or could it be something else? Many thanks in advance. dan

You need to trace the wiring behind the bumper, its likely damaged. If its a facelift, pop the bumper off, and check all way from sensor to connector near the NSF wheel. PFL seem not to suffer such problems, but carefully check connector at the sensor itself for corrosion.

Hi guys, got it sorted. Disconnected the sensor and the multiplug, sprayed them with wd40. Reconnected it all and it came straight back on. Chuffed my heating system is all working again. Thanks very much for your help.
