If you really want a pit to throw your money into, then I suggest a Mercedes CLS 500.

My particular example cost about £1200 in 3 months.....and that was using an indie.

Will I learn from my mistakes?.......Nope....not a chance.

Yours might have been, but I bought one like this in the auctions a couple of years ago for £400 to use as a workhorse. I used, abused, did about 10,000 miles in it over 6 months and then sold it to a local builder for £600 and he still has it.    I'd have another.

Yeah the 106 was a pig  I did have a 406 also , electrical gremlins crept into the dash control functions but the engine wasnt too bad
