Ok at the moment i have the navteq 2007/2008 uk map disc (using ncdc 2015 and cid) im looking into getting the latest version the 2010/2011 navteq maps now what i need to know is,
Is the map layout the same on the 2010/2011 maps as the 2007/2008 uk maps ?
Is there any more features like postcode search?
And also what navteq says on there web site is you need to load the update software disc first before loading the map discs is this true or just so navteq want's you to buy from them?
And also will any other satnav discs work in the NCDC like teliatlas or is it only Navteq?

No new features, the software is the same (last software update was around 2005). Just later maps.

Update disk NOT required, no matter what Navteq say, as the software is on the map disk.

Don't be tempted by illegal copies, as CDRs tend to shag the lasers quickly.

Think I will keep the disc I have at the moment as there are no big changers to the latest maps.

Any one got a screen shot of the new 2010/2011 maps working?

Look exactly the same graphically on the screen, just more up to date.

The later map disks will look exactly the same as the older ones, just with more updated maps.

The only software change can in around 2004/2005 when TMC was enabled (but doesn't work in UK, as its encrypted here), so you get the annoying retune messages every time you plot a route.
