Doors on pfl and fl
« on: 24 March 2015, 17:13:07 »

Question 1 - Are the doors for the pfl and fl the same as I need a good drivers door.

Question 2 - Also is paint code Z147 on a pfl the same as Z157 on a fl ?

Mine is pfl with Z147 paint code - star silver (I think)

Thanks in advance  :)

Star silver comes in at least three flavours... 147, 157 and 247? But you'd need to be an artist to spot the difference unless your car has done about five miles and lived in a sealed vault away from uv light ::)

Doors are identical from 1993-2003.

Wiring looms are different pre/mid to fl.

Some fixtures are different too, but basically buy earlier door, strip everything off it and refit it with everything from your existing door :y

A doddle to do with the doors off the car, but they are heavy :y

There are some subtle differences in the way the door cards attach. But nothing that could be described as a show stopper.

The colours won't necessarily be an exact match even if the codes are the same.

Re door loom. I know Elite and Mv6 are very differant due to memory functions. Not sure if that means standard trim level(Gls/cd/cdx/ etc ) is therefore useful. Guessing yes....?

Earlier cars don't have front door mounted window switches, hence needing to swap the loom. New door might also not have had side airbag trigger sensor either :-\

Thanks guys - feel better getting a pfl one if I can - seems like a little work to swop things.

Shame this 2003 CD Omega was damage free so not sure what was its problem and why it was for scrap.

They certainly know how to store them - dents and damage on car been shuvved against the pillars of the racks  :(
