St Ives Bay in Hayle, been there a few times

I like that site but when we were on the beach and are little'n wanted to go the Loo that was a pain
If you go into St.Ives at all, worth parking your car and catch the train in

Still hammering down here. We're expecting another inch of rain today. If you're pitching a tent tomorrow you may want to bring some extra heavy guy ropes. In fact, I'd also bring a caravan.

The weather forecast for the whole of the South West, but especially poor Cornwall, is atrocious for this weekend!  Quite exceptional for this time of the year the weather men are saying!

I am surprised as they normally are good - my dad grew up about 2 or 3 doors away and knew here from school.

Anyway large pasties should be made with a dinner plate sized pastry circle and are nearly a foot long

I am surprised as they normally are good - my dad grew up about 2 or 3 doors away and knew here from school.

'course the proper pastie was sub divided with meat filling at one end and a sweet filling at t'other --- never seem those in the shops tho !

that climb from the beach is a killer!
we usualy get the bus from the top of the hill into st ives

The train station is at sea level.  

Just walk around the coast path towards Carbis Bay. Don't forget your brolly. It hasn't stopped raining for over 24 hours now.
