Appologies, I'm juggling work stuff.
Just to add, are the 3.2 remaps any more expensive or involved than any other model or over and above the pricing mentioned? I'm under the impression the 3.2 and 2.6 are somehow more involved than normal, going by discussions here previously.
Hi Chris,
so I can't see any reason why they should be any more money to be honest. We've done quite a few so far and there have been no issues doing cars over OBD. On the whole the only difficulties I have encountered have been on cars after 2010 where the ECU has to be removed and opened. A software patch has to be applied to overcome the car maker's anti tune protection. The car can then have remaps over OBD from then on. I will check this out and give you a shout.
All the best
Jason
Just for info, the early Omega's (Non ODB, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 2.5TD), the Maps are on an Eprom, so that will be a swopout job, unless you have an plug in emulator that can talk live to the ECU, the later ones, post 2001 ODB, 2.2, 2.6, 3.2, and 2.2DTi and 2.5DTi, are via the ODB port, or worst case by tapping into the ECU, I know when my Chip Man was playing with one of my 3.2's for Petrol/LPG Mapping he had issues communicating via the Comm Port and ended up having to modify one of his Push Pin adaptors to fit directly on the ECU pcb.
