Autogrip tyres have no grip whatsoever, I've had some bad experiences of nearly bring killed in the wet, they should be sued under the trades description act

When I picked up my current mota, which is FWD, it has those Autogrip 'things' wrapping the rear wheels, and in slightly damp conditions, the rear of the car wanted to overtake the front. 
They were utter 'pish' as we say up here! 
Ditch the Autogrips, before they ditch you! 

Got them on my estate,they grip fine in all weathers, try driving to the conditions,and not like Russel mikola,McRae,

Thing is that's the trouble with the Autoshits. They are so appalling that no conditions exist that suit them. Other than burning in a skip of course. Does Bg drive in a burning skip I wonder ?

Ordinarily most cheap tyres work to a certain level in the dry, then get caught out when it rains as there is shuch a vast difference in wet and dry performance people don't expect the grip to tail off so badly when it rains.
 But with the Autoshits they don't work in the dry either. Unless tip toeing round everything that smells like a corner of course, and on the brakes....and on acceleration actually.

In fact what conditions would these be Bg?

Leaky shock could be oiling a rear tyre, unlikely I grant you. More likely reason for slipping one is only is weight of the driver, presuming he is the only person in the car.
 I used to be keen on the sport of autotests - racing round pylons in a private car park. The party tricks were handbrake turns and 'flip turns'  In a flip turn the car is driven at speed backwards, the driver applies full right lock, applies foot brake hard, declutches, engages first gear, centres steering, engages clutch, applies power, and proceeds forwards. Sounds complicated but with practice is easy. I mention it because it is vital it is performed right hand down. That way car is stable because the driver's weight keeps that side on the ground. Done left hand down the car will almost certainly turn over. I have witnessed it several times.

Also, if not using those death trap Autogrips one might find the driving conditions will change very much for the better.

I do find that auto-grips come in different guises, and the ones I have fitted suit my driving style, I don't require a skate-board set-up on my barge, I can still go round corners at the same speeds as I did before, even when its raining the special water.

Drive to the conditions?? 10-15 mph around a corner with barely a touch on the throttle?? Cant be more careful unless I stopped on the roundabout- they are horrendous!
