Car tax laws for 2017.

Do I have this right?

There will be three new tax bands.

£0.......for electric cars only.

£140.......for everything else.

£140 plus £310 premium car tax for any new cars costing in excess of £40,000. Making a total of £450.

Surcharge for £40k+cars only lasts for 5 years, so, come 2022, get a 5 year old guzzler, £140 tax. Job done. :y

This is without exception the single stupidest piece of tax horse sh1te in years. How absolutely ridiculous.

Just when they finally get rid of the ridiculous stamp duty they come up with this nonsense.  >:( >:(
