I'll buy it.

When I lived in Leicestershire , I knew someone who had never been out of the county (not country) and was proud of it.

I get asked regularly by Spaniards "Do you have olive trees in Britain?" No say I. Can't grow in the climate but some people try and grow them in plant pots.

Why should a young kid of the text and titter generation know anything outside of the USA (or their state)?

The confusion over lbs/£ I can fully understand... But really, near Jupiter? Some parts of the UK are so much closer to Uranus.

I'm not saying Americans are a bit dim, but 16/15th's of Americans can't do fractions.   :y

We had a 12year old boy stay with us, he came from Los Angeles. A carbon copy of that girl. Also, he had no respect, no manners, no table manners, and was totally illiterate in geography. Would not have one in my house again. He was so rude to my daughter, we had to let her stay at her Nan's until the little sh1te went home.
He came from a massive house, with the usual swimming pool, massive car on the drive, and wealthy parents.
Were you obliged to keep the little scrote at your place for the duration or couldn,t you have sent him back, so to speak. ???

Unfortunately, we had to keep him, despite our complaints >:(
