Seat Leon TDI Se one for btc
« on: 21 September 2015, 22:21:49 »

What are they like to own/drive please?

We are thinking about getting a "car". Makes sense to get a SEAT over here. Are there any that come with cruise control? What wouild you have if you could choose again?

I had a peer in a Exeo the other day. The owner came out and maybe thought I was going steal it!

My only input will be that the driving position is very, very odd.  As you will be buying a LHD (presumption), that may not be a problem.

The Leon in RHD is very odd... like sitting in a 80's/90's Lancia, with the pedals in one direction and the wheel at another.

Beware though Varche as if its DPF fitted it will need regular long runs.  :y

Good point Mark.

About what age of cars are these wretched DPF's started to be fitted? We have a lot of journeys 1 to five miles. Not ideal but our current engine is the DW10? Peugeot 2.0 Hdi.(2002 year engine)  Fairly sure that isn't fitted with a DPF.

A heavy old lump the C-Max and the Ford engine was never that great on low soot production (plus any sort of fault light will stop regen then it will block up very quickly)

Mine is now on 147k with the original.  :y

My mate bought it from a mobile hairdresser, so it had done lots of short hops and it shat itself soon after!  ::)  I think she gave him some cash back though to help pay for the new DPF.  :y
