Following a nob
« on: 13 July 2008, 19:58:01 »

Pulled out in front of me, and went slow, a motorcycle came up behind me, I pulled left, they waved, then they passed the nob, nob waved agressively at the bike for speeding (35 in a 30) but not his job,

Bikers then did a little dance on the bike.

WHy are some drivers such tossers?

They really do keep you alert and makes driving so entertaining! ;D ;D ;)  It is when they face you on a dual carriageway that it becomes a little bit hairy!! ;D ;)

I often get this in the Westfield. I can only assume that a side pipe going past at 7000 RPM has awoken them from whatever was previously distracting them from their driving. ;D

Yes bikes are dangerous. And yes bikes are at the mercy of the weather. But on anything bigger than 600cc, nobs in cars can be dispatched quickly, safely and painlessly.

It's one of the benefits of riding a bike.

(And one of the lesser reasons you should persevere with your CBT, should you have a idiot for a tutor first go round...)

A 1200 Bandit is highly recommended for nob disposal, as it happens. The hunched attitute you have on sports bikes detracts from the satisfaction somehow.

AWestfield is pretty good for "nob disposal" too. ;D Needs a bit more road than a bike though.

My money would be on the atom on any twisty section of road though. My (not very well set up, TBH) Westie has no problem staying with sports bikes as long as there are a few bends. They pull away on the straights, of course.

I'd wager it's a bit more difficult to fall off an atom, too.

I pull left for bikes as you do. It lets them know you know they are there.

Most bike riders are pretty courteous.

Seem to be a lot around today.  Nobette (well actually it was difficult to tell gender when I later passed it) in a Zafira pulled out in front of me on the A4 this morning.  There was me, a merc behind both doing 60 ish and then completely clear, but no, she had to pull out right in front of us.    I doubt she had any clue what she had done.
