Oil Changes
« on: 14 October 2015, 14:35:34 »

I know this is a bit of a cheek....but does anyone in the near vicinity fancy coming here and doing an oil and filter change. Now the bad bit...I have three Omega's :y
Reason I ask is its a case of suffering with a bad back, and I have lost my normal source of repairers....I have to be very careful dragging myself under cars. Putting a back box on, put me back on the diclofenac.
The filters look to be in an awkward place and I am worried about doing my back in, trying to free them off. I would imagine its pointless doing a change without doing the filters. The sump nuts don't look too bad to get at.
Opinions.....is it worth me having a go, or be sensible. Whichever way...I won't be going to a garage !!!!!!!!

Thanks, Al...that's kind of you, however, we are away from 8th November until 29th :(

KSR....you are too far away matey. I am in Buckinghamshire. Thanks for the offer though, very kind. :y

I have ordered filters and oil from Vauxhall on the Trade club to pick up tomorrow, but it can sit in storage till when ever.
I may try doing one tomorrow pm if the weather is good, and see how it goes. If I get any spasms, it will have to wait.
Cars are a pain in the butt. It was doing my daughters car that caused my back problems to start with. 9 months off work, and having to learn to walk again, all because of a ponsy Ford Escort !!!!!!!! :'( :'(

Due to a sudden and drastic change in my circumstances, I can do this for you some time next week if that helps?

PM me.

Yes, I appreciate that, Terry, but if we should end up with an accident and have an oil spill, it could affect whether I can retain the venue.  :y
