Worth a punt maybe?

Ebay set including anti-rattle jobbie
Nope... clearly not suitable for vented discs :y

And twice the price of normal pattern ones... ::)

The OP didn't mention vented?  ???

No, you're right, a '03 2.6 should have vented rears.  :)

If the OP doesn't have vented rears, then to be honest, the pins are cheap as chips and as easy as a bag of chips to source. A bag of genuine rear pads, springs and pins can be got from the heebay, ex-dealer stock for just under a tenner.  :)

No, not a worry,  :) it's a fair point to bring up as it appeared we did all 'jump' at the assumption he has vented rear discs. And it's perfectly plausible he doesn't, to be honest.

I'll be converting over to venteds myself, soon, purely because there's a whole 2.6 back axle going cheap near me. But were I, in 6 months, to then ask 'anyone got some rear caliper pins for my Omega, it's a '96 2.5', then according to the brochure, I'd have solids. And with so many of our cars being modded on one level or another, often they can vary far from standard.  :)

Yes... but don't rely on the discs currently fitted as some dickheaded monkey might have fitted solid discs without changing the calipers to match... ::)

As for reverse fitting solids... on the 3.2 you're likely to then need to change the discs every pad change as the TC uses the rear brakes to control wheel slip... the 2.6 doesn't produce anything like as much torque so less likely to trigger TC unless ragging it

Oooh, that's interesting, so not just physically cutting power, but applying brakes too (and each back wheel treat independently as a 2-channel system, unlike the PFL 1-channel TC system) correct? Interesting  :)

Yes I have rear vented discs and I asked the question because my pins are slightly rusted and if they were cheap I would replace them whilst doing a pad change. I purchased  Pagit rear pads from a well none supplier for £ 10.43 I have found Pagit to be good enough for me does anybody have a different opinion As for the diameter of the pins the end has a reduced diameter to fit into the caliper body.

When I fully refurbished my rear brakes around 18 months ago when I first acquired current car I was amazed at the condition of the retaining pins, hence why I went the dealer route and replaced them .

They were heavily rusted and had become almost half original thickness in places and were definitly "past their sell by date ".

After searching numerous suppliers it became evident that it was dealer only. These had to be sourced from Germany and took around 14 days to become stock here ,and as earlier posted I seem to recall them being £5-£6 each pin :o
