Hi all....
Has anyone had any experience of changing a caravan bathroom/shower try. Due to the stupid position of the drain plug...I have put my foot through it. I did try fibreglassing it and it seemed ok, especially after painting. However, I have done it again, and it needs a new tray.
Its one of the full size ones that incorporates the toilet.
The caravan in question is a 2004, Elddis Crusader Superstorm.
Would have a go myself, if... 1..I can get a replacement tray, and ...2..its reasonably straight forward to do.
Any advice will be gladly received

There was a company run by Graham Chambers who had massive stocks at good prices - surprisingly in a huge garage behind a private bungalow!
I've just checked for you and he or another person is trading as Autotech Leisure, at the same address - "Lindenlea", Wimborne Rd, Lytchett Matravers, Poole Dorset, BH16 6HQ.
It's on a minor road and easy to drive past if you go too quickly, as I did at first!
I wish I could remember the house number for you, but I've lost my records - a quick phone call will help as it's as well to check if he has what you want anyway.

They deal mainly with spares for Campervans, but also have many rare odds and ends, including matching patterned thin plywoon interior decorative panels for my old Pennine 'van!Both these companies are very knowledgeable and helpful, if you need advice on removing/fitting your shower tray.

Once upon a time, I would have suggested Aquafibre Mouldings, in Rackheath, Norfik...

Sadly no longer with us, but now a part of Broom Boats in Brundall... they might do bespoke items if no longer available... how different is a caravan bathroom module to a boat one...

Similarly Alphacraft, also in Brundall, might be able to produce summat suitable from a stock item

Hi,There's quite a good caravan breakers near me, www.caravanbreakers.net 01495792700  NP49RL,give them a ring their are very helpful and carry a huge amount of good used stock.
It's near to the Big Pit working mine  (go underground,no charge) ,whilst I'm on here if anyone wants a omega handbook complete with manuals free let me know cost of pp only.

Ron...I know both those suppliers...and the bungalow in Lychett. I have contacted them, but they didn't respond. If I don't source something elsewhere , I'll try again. We are back in Wareham in a fortnight for 3 weeks.
I know the Charles family well. Frank put my new centre window in last year. His business address in Poole has been re-occupied by another business, and Frank is freelance now. I have his latest business card here. If I could source a shower tray, and could not fit it, I would probably get Frank in.

I think the shower tray only screws in, but it is on two levels, and the toilet sits on the top level. If it is easy to remove the toilet, I think I could do the tray. But if I foul up, swmbo will feed me to the lions

If you can get the old one out in one ish piece, a competent boat builder should be able to make a replica

Thanks for that link RobG...
However, mate, it looks similar, right shape, but the measurements are way too big.
It has, though, given me an insight into what it looks like before fitting, and it looks like the toilet fittings will be accessed from outside though the small door.
Ironically, I have just bought a cooker lid from those people

that link above is one of many in the company and a call to the service centre he probs has the correct one for your van,ive never had much to do with shower trays and tend to stay clear of toilets haha but iirc from outside the van where you fill the flush tank there is 4 screws and a few under the cassette screwing the toilet to the floor and then it just lifts out and important thing when fitting new tray is make sure there is no debris(my mate fit one once and left a screw under the tray so first trip out it came back for another with a nice crack in it)

If the loo just lifts out, that looks like it makes it an easy (ish) job.
