I am getting really pissed off...
« on: 02 November 2015, 19:40:10 »

....with people who forget/just refuse to put their lights on. It was thick fog this morning and I reckon, conservatively, that 10-15% of drivers had no lights on at all.
There are the pillocks who believe that, because they have daytime running lights, there is no need to bother with the rear. Then there are the idiots who think that their auto lights will just come on. Not so in foggy conditions. Then the retards who have the dimmest little parking lights on, next to useless. And, of course, the winkers (a lot of white van men in here) who just can't be arsed.
I nearly pulled the fickin  light flasher stalk clean off this morning. My lad had to tell me, if I didn't stop ranting and flashing, I'd either crash or have a coronary.  :o

Oh........and I saw one little astra  type panda today, just one cop in about three hours on the road, and he had his drl's on, nothing at the rear.

Bastards  >:( >:( :'( :'(

Then there are the utter oppswits who insist on turning on the foglights the instant they detect any moisture in the air. They also leave them switched on for the rest of the month just to ensure that anyone who drives behind them finds the experience so infuriating that they need to kill something on arrival.

I know it tells you in the Highway Code to light up in foggy conditions, but is it an actual offence not to do so?

Should I write down the 100-odd registration numbers and read them out very slowly when I'm told that everyone is busy on 101 and to leave a message for South Yorkshire's solitary PCSO?

I feel a bit better now. I had a big roast dinner earlier and I've just eaten half a box of milk tray. Fick 'em all.  ;D

Is that in addition to most (I know, not all) BMW drivers who have magic eyes and can see perfectly no matter what the weather conditions?

We get that round here a lot, this morning visibility was around 500m yet 25% of people had their fog lights on and this bumper to bumper urban driving  >:(

No doubt most will still have them on for the rest of the month   :(

I'm not sure if this is common to all models, but my fog lights extinguish when the ignition is switched off? Therefore, I cannot forget to turn them off, and if it is still foggy when starting again, I have to turn them back on. There is a reminder on the dash in the form of tell-tale lights as well, of course!
