Shame.
« on: 15 July 2008, 19:54:09 »

Just read Foxy Ford's delete me post. Trawled through what i could find postwise & do'nt see what offence can be taken at the 50 post car sales rule. For example Lizzie & myself can be a little outspoken & may differ opinionwise at times but i still love her & Gaffers & MDTM who i do'nt always agree with as much as those i do, that's what makes a lively forum. Just seems a shame that a potential member no longer wishes to be here.

We are all entitled to our opinions -- and the right to express them. A modicum of tolerance goes a long way -- along with a sense of humour!

I feel that if Foxy had intentions of being a full fledged OOF user then she would have stayed and set the record straight. To me it did read as though there may be underlying intentions... and leaving in that way sort of confirms it to me

Just my 2p worth too!  :y

I second that, we all have our own opinions which are influenced by our own experiences.  I know that Amigov and I have not seen eye to eye on many things but it wouldent stop me having a drink with you or hearing your point of view...

....I cannot see where Foxy took offence as she must have completely misunderstood something that our dear LZ said.... saying that I think I may have tripped over a teddy bear on my way to work this morning!!

I don't want to fully discuss all this again which started last night, into the early hours and was still going this morning.

All I'll say is I have put it all in the hands of the the administrators along with my observations and recommendations. In addition it is a fact that I very politely and diplomatically did try and 'save' this member all the way through 3 lots of threads trying to pursuade her to honour the aims of the Forum whilst keeping her 'on side' although she made some very odd comments throughout her threads. She ignored that and other members sound advise during the hours in contention when most members were offline.  But, that was her choice and I respect her for it. :y

I will say no more, and just await the  Admins positive thoughts on what can be done to avoid all this in future. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Peace to all.  :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y

I think she needs to learn a lesson in interpersonal communications, what LZ said was not calling her a liar and was in fact inviting her to be a more involved member of OOF.....

.... her loss

Didn't get any chance to notice Foxy really. She seemed to have been and gone before I'd noticed that she had even arrived.

But I do think it is a shame that this forum does have trouble retaining Newbies and especially women newbies.

Don't know about Lizzie's quarrel with this lady, but I don't think Lizzie could upset anybody. (She's too sweet) :y

Yes TB, Mark DTM has all the details, as does Hotel21 with my observations and recommendations, along with Foxy Ford 3 threads of course.  ;) ;)

All the best TB! :y
