Picked up a 20L drum 10/40 Semi for £22+vat   :)

Sat in an Insignia. Still don't like them, seats too hard, no support. Is it just me or do the facelifted ones have tiny dials? Dash cluster is way too small  :-\

Overheard a women at service desk going through her bill, something about a coolant leak. Anyway the bill was £420   :o

She went outside and climbed into her 02 plate Corsa!

Glad I still do DIY  :)
That's a good price Mr T, which VX, was it on TC, special, or did you just blag it off them.

It's a 'Now' branch, TC offer, the price was actually if I bought 3 drums, but they were offering that price on just a single drum  :y
Ok, thanks, Now, there all S / W London from memory, I'm over Heathrow way next week might pop in and see if I can get some. ;)

Had a delivery from them today, 4 cans of 5w30 with next day delivery for £57...

Ok, not exactly trade, but it would have cost more than the difference in fuel to collect it, and £2.85 a litre isn't bad...

Can I ask about the Insignia Elites again, like the Omega are they softer in the suspension?
They are still very stiff compared to what you are used to. TBH, you'll find that with any FWD, esp those with a bit of power.

Stiff, however, doesn't necessarily mean uncomfortable - I drove a base model Insignia to the Spanish border and back (via the channel tunnel) without any particular discomfort issues, and that was a few months after than last big smash I had.

But accept that any 250bhp FWD isn't going to match large RWD saloon comfort.

Price is only thing drawing me to them, otherwise not that keen.

Tempted to try a Flexride version one day, see what they are like.

After several years with an Omega, I think you'll find it somewhere between rock hard and boneshaking.

If you want a supercharged XJ, get a supercharged XJ. We know you won't be happy with anything else, even if you do have to stink of piss to drive one.

I'd much rather have latest shape, but not quite within budget...... Yet!

I love the current XJ, they look great oozing along the outside lane of the motorway.

The glass panels in the rear roof pillars are a bit awkward, but there's a similar problem with a mk10. The rest of the car is traditional Jag style, not just modern but fashionable.  The original XJ had this, the following cars were a real disappointment as they just rehashed the style with each iteration getting increasingly dull.

If I had the cash...

Needs a few more buttons on the steering wheel.
In a recent survey, over 50% of drivers with top end cars hadn't used most of the buttons on their cars. Quite a lot of them didn't know what they were for. I think most people just drive. ;D
