Trike ins.
« on: 15 July 2008, 21:57:37 »

Thinking of getting one to cruise about on as i'll lose my life/licence on 2 wheels. Sold my Bandit a while back, not into sport bikes, tried mates 750 Gixer, 900 Blade, fast as fook but not for me, never took a bike test anyway (too late now) I'd still get banned 'cos i ca'nt behave so i fancy a trike which needs no test, goes slowly & i'd be happy with.
How do you insure one, or what as? Car, bike? Going on the premise of a built & registered one. :-/

I allways fancied a trike.  A guy down the road has a VW powered one.  But would like to see a custom one built with a V6 Miggy lump.

Must be a forum somewhere that could help you.
Saw a fab trike on Saturday in Morrisons in Darlington, hughe thing with lots of body on it looked really cool, best bit was you could ride it from a Wheelchair, I had a door on the back and a ramp comes down to take the chair up. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Never thought about trikes for disabled bikers but what a great idea.  :y
Personally i'm looking at a bike derived one around 750cc Jap maybe shaft drive which i wouldn't want on a 2 wheeler but might be tougher on a trike. Just running a few ideas.
