Hi, my lpg switches itself off at 60 mph and above but is fine at 5o and below has anyone any ideas

Need more info than that... System type. Make and model of system. Any other symptoms? Just started or been like it all along?

I would hazard a guess that it can't supply enough gas, but there are many potential reasons for that which full info would help diagnose

It's a stag system on a 2.6 no other symptons and has been like it for a while now only happens when I get on the dual carriageway or motorway. I have checked the coolant flow and no problems all connections are new and tight, no problems in the wiring that I can see just need to try and find out why it switches back to petrol at 60 and above

You need to get it plugged in to see what's going on. Do we know who fitted it? Has it always done it?

Very odd. So if you red line it at say 50 in second gear, it's fine?

It was fitted by me following the guide. if I red line it it will be ok until it hits 60mph. and it has always done it it has been plugged in and came up with coolant flow which I checked on Friday and made sure it was all working properly, its just starting to get on my nerves now and if I can't fix it or get it fixed I think I will have to pull the whole kit off as it is a waste of time having it on if it ddoes not work correctly. thanks

When you drop back below 60 does it switch back to petrol on it's own?

Not until it goes below 30 or if I come to a stop and it is ticking over it will change back to gas

I wouldn't be surprised if the coolant has been plumbed in the easy way. I.E. the wrong way.

Ok. What vaporiser is it? And have you plumbed the coolant feed from before the HBV?

Vapouriser is a kme and the coolant feed is plumbed from the back of the block to a t piece and into the vapouriser then back from the vap to the return pipe on the hbv if that makes any sense

Do you know which KME? Twin vapour outlets?
