hi all,     
           engine cuts out when hot and starts again after about five mins I code 59 doing paper clip test change the maf, cleaned Intake idle valve and egr, checked all connection plugs , I do get a smell of hot oil , I am lost of what to do now,

Sounds like it could possibly be crank sensor related

now code 73 came up and 59 has gone

Does sound rather crank sensor related which I believe can throw strange codes or no codes at all.Smell of hot oil,are plug wells dry?As in no oil in there,I'd have a look under bonnet with engine idling and watch for wisps of smoke off exhaust manifolds as could be cam cover gaskets leaking.

59 is rear multiram so check that's properly plugged in.

73 is MAF, would need live data to prove if it is MAF though.

My money's on a dodgy crank sensor - doesn't always throw a 19 code

Carefully... cover is clipped along the sides, then main body is secured with a screw in the centre...(plus two visible screws at the front extension if long nosed) will need to loosen the throttle body bolts in order to remove the breather bridge cleanly...

If you're simply trying to remove the plenum, then unbolt the throttle body, unplug the rear multiram and disconnect the brake vacuum and undo the four bolts asnd lift the plenum off disconnecting any remaining vac hoses as required. You could leave the throttle body in place, but it has coolant connections, as well as throttle cable on earlier cars, so unless you actually need it off the car it's easier to simply unbolt it from the plenum

Hopefully a genuine one from a genuine Vx dealer that you genuinely have to visit in order to collect it

Anything else would be a waste of Christmas drinking cash
