Nah, more and more common.  The client we work for has a rule that no planned work can happen during the working day, so we're either in early or stay late to get stuff done

Must be that time of year ;D

Bit fiddly on v6, but scuttle off, and its doable.  Expect the usual cuts and bruises and scrapped knuckles ;D
HBV change is a piece of cake.
1 Give new HBV to the Gnome.
2 Sit on wall drinking tea and smoking.
3 Remember to give useful advice "Ain't you done it yet boy?"
4 Eventually Gnome finishes job.
5 Check work and congratulate yourself on a job well done.
6 Reinstate Gnome's pocket money you withheld to "persuade" him to do the job in the first place.  ;D ;D

LZ .. you've obviously never met the Gnome .... !! he's about 6' 3" ... 16 stoneish .. and I believe he's only 15 !!!!!

He is however a really nice lad, and a credit to his parents .. I reckon he's a JamesV6CDX in the making ... bloody good with cars and willing to help anyone  :y :y :y

Well I have had two great surprises today from my local main VX stealers; no, now to be fair dealers!

I have it is true slagged them off for poor expensive service, but their Parts Dept., today came up trumps!

First they had TWO HBV's in stock, one of which I bought for £34.02 inc. VAT, although as TB had stated were not available on TC.

Secondly though I purchased the antifreeze I required, and was delighted to learn they accepted AutobahnStormers TC.  However I, being at times a right silly mare suddenly realized I didn't have my card with me! :-[ :-[ :-[

Imagine my surprise and delight when he  said "don't worry; I will give you full trade discount anyway!!  30% off!! ;D ;D ;)

Yes, at last I have had the type of result I used to get with the Parts (& service) Depts., at Vx main dealers, Patchway Motors of Bristol!! :y :y :y

Now all I have to do is the job tommorow, but I feel the worst is over already!  ;D ;D ;) ;) :y :y  Right chuffed.
