Battery Holder for Remote
« on: 09 December 2015, 19:11:17 »

Hello

Ordered from Locksmith repair kits for my two remotes. After soldering of all six micro switches I found that one leg of one battery holder is broken. Locksmith do not sell them, only provide under repair service. Does anyone know where to buy those?

If all else fails, buy a cheap key off eBay and take it from that.

If you don't have any tin copper wire, inner solid coax etc, just strip some stranded wire (mains cable or something) and use a few strands twisted together, as long as the solder has flown through it, it we be fine.  ;)

Thanks, I just completed it. I used small wire of one electronic component (resistor). Got a very good joint. It just did not came to my mind that I can use this wire like a carrier for the solder to flow through the hole and catch the broken leg. Thanks again!
