Hope all goes well this time  ::)

And i hope what happened to me doesnt happen to you.....one week after I had the new screen....I got a stone chip right in my line of sight  :(

I did take it back to RAC windscreens who repaired it FOC to me, but was told the repair might not work ( apparently only 90% of repairs work) and was given the choice of new screen again (with £50 excess to pay again) as my car is a working car and i might not want double the time without it, if they do end up changing the screen.

But the repair seems to be holding atm :y

Eh? My windscreen is fine - it's Marks DTM Calib who is going to go into RAC and punch someone's lights out ;)

(saying that, I want a new windscreen (chips), and I'm insured through Admiral, who prefer RAC windscreens)

I have just chased up what is happening with this, note that I have chased this up and not heard anything from them!

So, I phone the customer services helpdesk (0800 389 8596) and ask to speak to the 'case manager' (Kelly).

Put on hold for 14 minutes.

Then told that the parts are in but they are waiting for the screen to be delivered and then they will be in touch as and when it arrives.

Now I know that these screens are available ex-stock from Gm Luton.....so where are they getting it from!

Hi,
I happened to have a closer look at my windscreen when cleaning it the other day.
It doesn't have any GM markings or numbers. Just says "RAC Windscreens"  so they obviously don't use genuine OEM parts for replacements.
