I paid £66 for mine a few months ago.It came laid out full length in a long slim cardboard box,not coiled up in a plastic bag. However it did come over the counter at the local Vauxhall dealers.

Old school diagnostics of checking for a spark and fuel at the rail.(not at the same time thou)

There's a clue!!!  :D

My DIS pack plug had become disconnected once - that won't throw up any codes.

Oh dear. At this point I would check for fuel at rail when cranking starter, and spark at plugs, as advised earlier, and report back

Not all the plugs will have failed, a plug issue would give you a miss-fire not a non starter. Also if a coil pack failed, it would only run on one bank.

Lack of fuel could be a problem, as not much else would stop it starting.

Other area to look at is the key, has it come apart recently? Is the immobiliser chip all present and correct? Is it locking and unlocking ok?
