Lumia 950 email
« on: 09 January 2016, 08:27:13 »

Right, have the new Lumia 950, to replace the 925 that I had.
950 runs win 10.
The problem is I cannot download, receive my email.
The set-up of in boxes is the same as before on the 925, The only thing I have noticed is it links all the in-boxes, even when unlinked no joy.
any help appreciated  :) in simples English please.

Are you using the bundled email client that came with it?, if so try using the 'other' rather than a predefined service provider one, does depend on who your provider.

The bundled win 10 asks you which accounts to include. They will appear separately so you do not have to have all the messages from different boxes merged together.

The email client is outlook.
You put in email address and password, then connects to my accounts, one being ntlworld, the other is Gmail. System worked fine on the 925, only change seems to be the linking of accounts to use one in box.
I have tried using separate unlinked boxes, and setting each account up standalone, no emails, even tried to manual enter the in and out servers, etc no inbound email's.

Surprised it does that, Mobile Outlook should treat each account separately, although I gave up using Outlook moons ago both for PC and Mobile.

If your setting it up in imap, which I'm guessing your are rather than pop3 or something, then it should automatically duplicate all the folders you have set up on your main account after its all downloaded.

If it doesn't for what ever reason theres plenty of other free clients that should work for on the Store.

Just ha someone else ask about this, same deal, only one inbox.

Im starting to wonder if it does this by default on the latest release through sync'ing, something being advertised as "All your email addresses in One Inbox"

Forgot to mention, on the 950, you can get free Office 360 for a year, chuck the office bit in the bin, unless you wont to install it on a pc or something, but the free 1TB of OneDrive Cloud is worth having.

Did it for someone last week, although still waiting for the email, go to the app store and look at Lumia Offers.

Update.
The phone is now receiving, emails,
Deleted all accounts, Twice, re-installed and seems to be working.
I' am using separate accounts, not linked and so far all's well. Only other annoying thing, I don't need to know it's martin Luther king day, bloody American holidays,
