The other thing, I've snapped 4 or 5 passenger side aeros now, poxy things.  Downside of using them on cars not designed with aeros in mind (along with poor performance).
your just too heavy handed...
Every one I have snapped from the driver's seat ;)

Apart from one, they don't snap off and fly into the following traffic, its "spine" breaks, leaving it attached but floppy.  They always snap in the same place - just outboard of the fixing, passenger side - which makes me wonder if its due to the screen shape.

I will add, I use aeros on the Zafira, and on that flatter screen, they are very good.

Its simply the Omega screen shape means they are substandard (happy, Mr Lazydocker? ;D) on Omegas, in comparison to traditionals.  Remember, I am comparing like with like (having 2 Omegas), not comparing a new aero against a shagged out old blade ;)

 :D :D

All down to opinion really. As you know, I have also had new GM and new Aeros very close together and I still prefer the Aeros :y

It would be boring if everyone was the same

Got a set of standard blades off ebay for £8 , unbranded and have been the best ive used . This is the second set ive used , usually last a good 2 yrs  :y Tried the flat blades and they work for a while then they start making squeaky noises and stop clearing the screen  :(

Sounds pricey for 2. When we had the Rover (as it was properly designed, thus all 3 blades the same length), I used to buy a pack of 10 GM ones for £20 from dealer, use 3 on the Rover, sell 1 set of 3 on egay for a tenner, and 2 sets of 2 for £7.50.  So not only did I make money off the pondlife that think egay is cheap, I also got free blades for the little Rover.

coincidentally my pair arrived today and have just fitted them.  £3.75 a pair yes that's £3.75 for two not each and includes delivery.  from apwipers.com via ebay.  the 19" one came with a spoiler which was unexpected but i transferred it to the 24".  standard wipers, they look fine and fitted well i will report back on performance. perhaps not a fair test as my windscreen is old and slightly scored.

what really wears out the omega wipers i think is that the screenwash only sprays onto the screen after one dry wipe.

I've noticed that my passenger side wiper (ordinary wiper blades on a FL estate) occasionally catches the inner edge of the bonnet, usually when travelling at motorway pace with the wipers on full chat. Anyone else experienced this?

I know the car's never been in an accident so no way the bonnet's moved, feels like the passenger side wiper is a few mm too long maybe? but then again it came from a set that's supposed to fit the car  ::).

Either / or / and:-

Park adjustment is wrong - check the quide on here
Wiper motor bearings collapsing - too much play
Wiper arm set slightly too low - be careful repositioning it as it's possible to tangle up with the drivers side
Wiper drive rod joints are worn - You can buy new ones from Wipex, but, while they solved the problem on mine and the wipers were much more positive etc they where far to tight and when I tried to remove them to re-grease them they just snapped.

i have to report that these are great or at least the combination of the new wipers and g5 treatment.  one small thing - i had to remove the spoiler from the drivers' one as at 60mph it forced the blade so hard onto the screen that it made a loud juddering noise when it changed direction at 12 o'clock position. no noise now.

So they're poor then.

no spoiler is poor, wipers fine.  actually spoiler works too well.  as spoiler is non standard (isn't it?) i removed spoiler - 2 screws.
