some clarification on CCR2006 (E) radio code
« on: 09 March 2016, 12:41:29 »

Never had the code for my stereo so not had it working for over 2 years since battery was replaced, I wondered if people could clear this up, there are a few websites that seem to be able to get your code just from your serial number ie the likes of www.radio-code.co.uk but at £24.99 a code via email seems a little risky when they suggest if at any point the code was changed during repair etc then they would not refund if the code does not work, then you have the companies that will do it if you send the head unit to them.
My point is if someone at the other end of an email can give you your code without connecting anything to the stereo or accessing the chip etc then why can't I do it DIY style, Ive seen loads of forums with 'Philips code calculators' etc

any one can help, I really don't want to pay much for regaining a stereo we have lived without for over 2 years

Most of the software out there used to decode from serial number was actually written by me.

We have NEVER released software for the CCR2006 to be decoded this way.

Yes, you can do it DIY style - it cost me 23 years and several million quid to learn do it myself

Send me yours for £20 + return postage, and I`ll decode your one for you   :P

Yes, I wrote and designed much of the coding systems for the manufacturers.

Send me a working and complete unit, not a pile of bits though !!

It's working fine just front panel is not attached by the screws at the bottom, held on panel by the 3 top left buttons

Yes I had taken the stereo out and taken that to them, they gave me a card with a printed number, so when I put stereo back I typed the code in and all was well  :y
