5,000 miles is more than enough only use it on dry days & car must be garaged when not in use, it's my toy so can live with that.

With my insurance quote for a 1.4 astra being over £500, I don't think I'll bother with a V8.  :(

My V8 fully comp agreed value of £6,000 limited mileage of 5,000 PA £290.00, insured with Peter Best.
I do three times that mileage and my car is parked on the street

My insurance is CHEAPER if I leave em on the street, if I state that they are garaged its dearer????  :-\ :-\ :-\

Weird. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just let it renew, it's an extra £15 a month when all's said and done.

One of the lads on the Nissansportz forum found that with his 370, it was dearer garaged, maybe they think it could get damaged more easily by knocking things onto it.

The garaged/ on drive costing more thing, I believe, relates to key fishing/burglaries for keys, if the car is on the road which house would you try and get the keys from? if it's on the drive or in the garage it's pretty obvious where the keys will be to nick it.

Front of car off for a cam belt change  . . . ::) ::) ::)

If I remember correctly, it's not as bad as it sounds - rather than front off, it's the front panel including rad etc just pulled forwards to allow better access. Same as the A4 and A6. Not difficult to do.

Bit like a thunder-saloon comes off as 1 big lump. Just sounds more dramatic"front end off".

Hi all
          anyone had one of these A8's ? . Looking at a '53 plate 3.0 petrol .  What are the points to look out for?

Seem to remember reading  that big Audi's are notorious for shag*ing suspension quickly ?

Any tips good or bad ?  what is your opinion  . . .would you have one or is the "barge pole " quote going to be used ?  ;D

TIA   Al

£130 for the MV6

£175 for the Signum.

£160 for the CLS 500.

Sorry.....this should be linked to the thread with STMO moaning about the cost of insuring his Astrawoo. :-[
