omega 2.2 auto
« on: 24 March 2016, 10:05:20 »

Hi guys using the pedal trick (great tip thanks) I got my fault codes I have had a badly blowing exhaust for a week but yesterday the engin management light came know and stayed on. The car is due for mot I need to know If the fault codes and waning light are being caused y the blowing exhaust or if I have other issues I don't want to replace exhaust then have engin issues to sort as with other things that need attention in.new set of tyres the car is
not economically viable. I will list the fault codes and thank you in advance for any advice .

Sure its a 2.2, given that you were able to do pedal trick?

It does work with the auto you need to put the car in drive then carry out the test as stated

P'S.

To the comments below the pedal trick works on the 2.2 Auto but you need to put car into drive and then carry out test as described .

0335.......Crank Sensor  (unlikely)
0340.......Cam Sensor  (likely)
0170......Rich exhaust (exhaust blow probably causing this)
1700......Ignore. Cam sensor usually throws this if dodgy.

Is it the "emissions light" (engine block) or the "EML light" (lightning bolt ).
Any of the codes stored or pending.
Any running/starting issues?

It's running rough it starts but have to keep the revs up for a couple of minutes or it seems to start running on one or two cylinders before cutting out after the initial warm up it will run but doesn't seem to have its full power or throttle response. It is the orange engin block that stays on constantly

Yes it revs fine even when cold it won't idle until it has run for 3 to 4 minutes
