Easiest way to get small cable from dash to engine bay
« on: 29 March 2016, 14:34:23 »

Small cable needs to go from behind dash into engine bay.

Where is best place to go through?

Depends if it's the one with the cable throttle or not.
If DBW, there's a handy blanking grommet where the cable used to be.

Its the superior engine, so some pratt has put a throttle cable through there :(

Poke it through the big grommets in the pollen filter area, I guess.

Although.. is there a brown crusty bit on the bulkhead you can poke a hole through? :-X

There's probably more brown crusty bits in the bulkhead area than you might think!!! You'll be spoilt for choice with an Omega  :y

Ideally wanted a shorter run.  Suppose I'll have to have a poke around.

And, being the superior MFL model, the only rust is on the bodyshell ;D

Think you'll find the bulkhead is a critical bodyshell component ::)

Just off to the right of the throttle cable is another loom run ;)

Either as HKT says or, iIIRC, there is enough space in the throttle cable grommet to squeeze another cable through :-\

Failing that... Follow where we poked the LPG wires through ::)

loom back towards the dash :y

I found a small blanking grommet underneath the large loom that passes through the bulkhead in the pollen filter housing on my MFL

If you're going all the way over there, then you might as well pop it through with the rest of the loom ::)
