Disco door locks - Challenge!!!
« on: 01 April 2016, 17:16:44 »

Well considering I'm out of action for a bit with me back problem, I've set myself a little challenge. I've got about 4 different keys that operate door locks / petrol flaps & ignition on the Disco. I'd seem somewhere on youtube that you can pull em to pieces and recode em to fit one key by taking the individual blades out & by trial & error moving em about so that 1 key will fit all?

Tried it, took bloody ages but it has worked  ::) :y :y :y

Tricky little bleeders, worst things are the tiny little springs that can ping out without you seeing em  >:( >:( >:( But only got another 3 to do.  :-\

Get yourself a large clear freezer bag and work inside it. This prevents the twangy bits from becoming part of the British space programme

Congratulations for sorting out your locks, and pleased to hear the carpet monster didn't get anything of note   :)
